Before the season started, I had no idea who Ja’Lique Martin was. He became apparent while watching the game film of week one. He had caught six passes for 79 yards. I was able to see him live in week two when he caught eight passes for 143 yards and two touchdowns. Some of them on some of the most acrobatic plays I’ve seen in a long time! I can’t remember seeing a player at 165 pounds that was so hard to tackle. He was used all over the field, and even played some quarterback. A lock down defender as a cornerback, and an awesome kickoff returner. He was named All-Conference 2nd Team at both wide receiver and defensive back, and I know who Ja’Lique Martin is now.
