When the season began it looked like O’Bryan would be a slot receiver, and he would back up Bauman at quarterback and Silva at running back. Silva’s unfortunate injury early in week one put O’Bryan in the backfield, and he flourished. Great speed and a knack for breaking tackles put him among the county’s best among running backs. He also caught a lot of passes, making O’Bryan the only player in Whatcom County to have over 800 yards rushing and 400 yards receiving. He also had a good year at outside linebacker, after playing in the secondary as a sophomore. I’m excited to see what he brings in 2018 at quarterback.
