Gene & Shawn, keep in mind, I could have been really lazy and just picked all the NFL guys to be in the Top 10, that’s what anyone else would have probably done. This is based on high school, only. Yeah, he was a stud player, at number 160, you’re a stud player. My best analogy would that I keep going back to is the Tommie Frazier/Tom Brady analogy. If you were ranking the top NCAA players from the 1990’s, there is absolutely no way Tom Brady would be close to the top. The top quarterbacks were guys like Tommie Frazier and Charlie Ward. Neither of them even sniffed the NFL, and Brady will go on to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It would be really easy for me to put Mr. Doug Pederson higher on the list, but I have to stay true to the formula.
Thank you Tyler for all the work. There will always be people that question, but you have put in the time, stayed true to the formula, and it is what it is! Thanks again for all your work. We have A LOT of fun with this on the LHS Staff!!!
Roger. Not aware that you had a criteria for selecting these. I think Doug was probably in a run heavy offense at Ferndale, but he was a
great passer, all-state two ways and I think they went far into playoffs his senior year. Im just commenting on what I remember. By all means stick to your plan.
This guy played in the NFL for about 10 YEARS! 160?
That’s what I was thinking…WAY too low
