I was in Orryguhn at the time, but I seem to remember that every game in 1994 began with all fades to see if the other guys had anyone to run with Kale.
History of Whatcom County High School Footballreplied:
You’re right, Christopher. It worked the first two weeks (81 yarder vs Orting and 75 yarder vs Eatonville). It worked again in week 8 against Mount Baker, another 75 yard touchdown to start the game. Major deep threat!
Lol…Joey Simmons and kale ….man, I knew them both when we were kids then didn’t realize who they were until after playing against them..weird. the fade…never successful against #33.

And, Kale was a Baker kid for a short while when we were kids! Imagine if he would have stayed, and you would have stayed? State Championship for sure your guys’ senior year. Run and shoot with you two and Tommy and Lance at receiver? D would be huckin’ the rock all over the place, with Scott and Galen running the ball, and an offensive line with Dan, Travis, Jeremy, Buck and Karl…. That offense would have been crazy. Not to say I haven’t ran a few simulations to see what would have been… 😉
There must be a minimum number of catches.
Reprazent, TS
