If you listen closely, you can still the echoes of some of the hits that Veldman had from 2017. What a tremendous football player. He finished his career second in school history in receptions (108) and fourth in receiving yards (1338). While doing all of that, he was rarely the main target. How about this little trivia question: Who are the ONLY two non-linemen in Whatcom County history to be named All-Conference 1st Team on offense AND defense for three years in a row? Jake Locker and Kyle Veldman. Now, that is impressive.
